UPES DEHRADUN is a private university, established under the UPES Act, in 2003. UPES (University of petroleum and energy studies, Dehradun.) UPES is multi-disciplinary university approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as is also a member of the association of Indian University [AIU]. It offers specialized & unique undergraduate and postgraduate programs in cloud computing, mechanical/ civil/ aerospace/ mechatronics/machine design engineering, petroleum, graphics, and gaming. Admission for the year 2022 is now open with the start of the CAT Application Process.
The university is accredited by NAAC with a Grade ’A’. The university is ranked 65 among top 100 universities by NIRF 2022. Confirm admission for 2022-23 sessions is currently open. Admission to UPES Dehradun Courses is based on UPESMET, UPESEAT, UPESDAT, ULSAT and UPESPAT entrance tests conducted by the university.
UPES offers 20+ industry-aligned and specialized UG and PG programs via its seven schools: Schools of Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Design, School of Law, School of Business, School of Health Sciences and School of Modern Media. UPES B.Tech is the flagship program offered in 20 specializations. Selection to the B.tech program is based on JEE Main or UPESEAT conducted by the university.
UPES Dehradun has about 9 institutes for which the cutoff is determined based on the reservation categories and seat availability. The cutoff is based on the national, state level or university level entrance tests. Apart from its own entrance tests known as the UPESEAT/ UPESDAT/ UPESMAT, the university also accepts various national level entrance exams like JEE Main/ GATE/ MEET/ CAT/ NMAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ UCEED/ NID/ NIFT/ CEED/ CLAT/ LSAT/ ULSAT-LLM for UG, PG, and PhD admissions
UPES Dehradun offers 20+ UG, PG and Diploma Courses across both campuses. These courses are offered in the field of Engineering, Management, Computer Science, Law, Business and Media. The university conducts UPESMET, UPESEAT, UPESDAT, and ULSAT for admission to its courses. Further, UPES also considers national-level entrance tests such as JEE Main, CAT, MAT, XAT, CLAT, and GATE to name a few.
UPES courses is designed to equip students with lifelong learning skills, a focus on a wide range of modern issues, a mandatory social as well as professional placement experience. The university offers 150+ courses in science, management, law, engineering, pharmacy, etc.
UPES Dehradun admission offers several undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, doctoral, and distance education courses in various specializations. Performance in the entrance exam and GD/ PI is the basis for University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun admission. The next admission deadline for UPES intake is on October 31, 2022. Entrance Tests such as CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ NMAT/ XAT will be conducted in online mode.
