What is ICAR? ICAR is the (Indian council of Agricultural Research) is the apex body for coordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture in the whole country under the aegis of DARE, ministry of agriculture and farmers welfare. ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region (ICAR) was recognized on 9th January, 1975 under the aegis of the Indian council of agricultural research (ICAR).
